An Excel spreadsheet form can be downloaded here for submitting text-only transcriptions. When you go to the form, you will be asked if you want to open or save this file, choose to save it to your computer, open the form and "Save As" giving it the name of the cemetery. When completed please email the Excel spreadsheet to the Project Manager. |
PHOTOS: |
A Word table form is here and is the the best format for submitting photo transcriptions. You can save this file to your computer and follow the instructions on the form. Please contact me about how to name the photos and how to get to me.
Completed forms for text and/photo transcriptions can be emailed to me. Contact me about submitting large numbers of photos. |
Word Perfect or MS Works word processing tables can be substituted for Word files. Contact the Project Manager in advance if you plan on submitting your own form. |

Contact me if you do not have MS Office or Works so I can help you create a character-delimited file. Instructions are here
We cannot accept photos of living individuals. The only exception to this rule is Scouting transcriptions where there may be photos of the Scouts doing the recording.
All files submitted to the MD Tombstone Transcription Project are housed in the MDGenWeb Archives it is not necessary to submit files to both locations. |
