Note: O. Ben Childers, according to pension records, Sgt. 2nd Co. Co. E, Pelican Regt., CSA (formed of cos. B, D, & H, 19th LA Inf, CSA). Enlisted 11 Dec 1861, taken D, 19th LA Inf., CSA. Also Sgt., prisoner at Citronell, AL 4 May 1865; paroled at Meridian, MS 13 May 1865. Applied for pension benefits 28 Apr 1908. Records also show he was wounded in action.

Note: Reuben White (Sr.) and Marthe Loe White are buried at Oakland Cemetery in Shreveport, LA. The whites resided at Rush Island Plantation near Shreveport. Decendants include the Mayer family of Shreveport
