Located about 4 miles West of Marion on Road # 6602. This a very old cemetery. Once there was a Babtist Concord Church organized in 1841 at this location. Two of the oldest pastors were Rev. Billy Smith and Abner Josephus Callaway.

WRITTEN ACROSS THE TOP OF THE MARKER: CONCORD
Concord Cemetery Marker reads: A MEMORIAL TO CONCORD CHURCH ORGANIZED 1842, AND THE PASTORS WHO HAVE SERVED IT. THE FIRST PASTOR, S. J. LARKIN, SERVED FROM 1842-1854. A. J. CALLOWAY SERVED IN THE LATE 1880'S. IN 1888, THE MEMBERS OF CONCORD CHURCH WERE HELPFUL IN ORGANIZING THE MARION BAPTIST CHURCH. CONCORD CHURCH WAS HOST TO THE CONCORD ASSOCIATION MEETING IN 1851, 1855, 1876 AND TO THE EVERETT ASSOCIATION, NOW CALLED UNION PARISH ASSOCIATION, IN 1915,1932, 1951.
ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL
IN 1842 A GROUPOF BAPTIST MOSTLY FROM ALABAMA UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF S.B. THOMAS AND S.J. LARKIN ORGANIZED CONCORD CHURCH. A HOUSE WAS LATER BUILT WITH BENCHES PUT TOGETHER WITH WOODEN PEGS. REVIVALS WERE ALL DAY. DURING THE MEETINGS SLAVES OFTEN MADE COFFEE IN A HUGE WASH POT AND ATTENDED CHURCH WITH THEIR OWNERS.
