She married Clifford Hultgren in Council Grove on June 18, 1930. He died in 1945. She was married to Frederick Carl Koepsel on August 4, 1951. He preceded her in death March, 1985. Bertha was a farmer in the White City area and also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing. She was a member of the Parkerville Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Pauline Hultgren, a son, Leslie Hultgren, 2 sisters, Lillian Keene and Edna Hultgren, and a brother, Levi Timm.
