Brooks, Harriett Ann | 2-26-1918 | 10-11-2005 | b. Wellington ks, d. Forsyth MO, D/O Burt and Mayme Emerson in Wellington, KS, Ann was baptized in the Wellington Methodist Church and progressed through Southwestern College in Winfield. After two years as a public school teacher, she made her home in Wichita, KS. She was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church, DAR and the Wichita Dental Auxiliary. Ann was the medical office manager for Dr. F.J. Hagan, then founded Harriett Ann's Fashion's Dress Shop in Wichita after which Ann resided at the Universities of Oklahoma and Kansas as the Delta Tau Delta fraternity and Sigma Kappa sorority housemothers. Ann spent her summers as a regular staff member at Kanakuk Kamp in Branson, MO. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Dr. Guy Thomas Schantz of Sonoma, CA. |
