From 1957 to 1971, he worked at Boeing and Cessna. In the early 60's until 1998, Elmer had Elmer's Hidden Acre, changing into Elmer's Steak House at 8721 S. Broadway. On Feb. 26, 1952, he married Jeanne Sterling of Kingman, KS.
