5-12-1926 1-10-2005 b. Osawatomie ks Miami co, d. Wichita, "Willie," passed away at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. D/O George and Thelma (Jenkins) Hunsperger. She grew up and graduated from the Osawatomie High School in 1944. After graduation, she moved to Kansas City and worked for Sears and Roebuck as a secretary. On Aug. 17, 1947 she was united in marriage to Glenn E. Bigelow at her parents home in Osawatomie. They shared over 48 years of marriage before the death of her husband on March 31, 1996. She moved to the Ottawa community in 1951 from Osawatomie. She was a homemaker. In 1967, she worked for Ottawa University as Secretary for the Chaplin, Dean and later the President for over 20 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ottawa; United Methodist Women; Sarah Circle; Hand Bell Choir; a charter member of the GL, P.E.O. Sisterhood in Ottawa; a 4-H Leader and enjoyed reader, sewing and playing Bridge with several clubs. Bigelow was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Noel David Bigelow.
