Haeffner, Walter E. 3-9-1915 5-22-2005 b. Leavenworth ks Leavenworth co, d. Hugoton ks Stevens co, and Pauline Sander Haeffner. U.S. Navy during World War II. On April 23, 1936, he married Leona Carl at Atchison. She died in May 2000. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse and Oliver Haeffner; and three sisters, Ethel Harber, Hattie Bachmeier and Sarah Haeffner.
