Bratton, Evert Wayne | 11-16-1911 | 8-25-2005 | b. Russell co ks, d. Lyons ks Rice co, S/O Elmer Evert and Edna Hattan Bratton. He graduated in 1930 from Luray High School and attended Kansas State University. A resident of Lyons since 1934, he was a farmer, stockman and building contractor. He belonged to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lyons, and the American Shorthorn Society. On May 15, 1936, he married Elizabeth Babcock at Lyons. She died Jan. 27, 1994. On March 23, 1996, he married Marceline Gandrud at Lyons. She survives. |

A longtime Lyons resident, recently moving to Hutchinson, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Eugene Ham, Gaylord Arthur Ham and Orval Edwin Ham. |

She served in the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her mother. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons, at a later date |

A lifetime resident of Geneseo, he was a farmer and stockman. He belonged to the United Methodist Church, Lion Club, was a former member of the Geneseo School Board, Geneseo Booster Club, all at Geneseo, and the Kansas Livestock Association. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Janssen; and three sisters, Inez Janzen, Martha Trenary and Sylver Adams. |

He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1940, attended El Dorado Junior College and graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. A resident of El Dorado, formerly of Hutchinson from 1958 to 1999, he was a retired funeral director and embalmer at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. He belonged to Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson, and American Legion Lysle Rishel Post No. 68 and was a former member of the Hutchinson Noon Optimist club and AARP. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Oct. 14, 1947, he married Arnetta J. Wohlford at Lyons. She died Dec. 19, 1984. |

He died April 11, 1985. She was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar Ebert; a stepbrother, John Ebert, and a sister, Alma Murphy. |

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star, both in Lyons. On Sept. 21, 1929 she married Stanley Wiggins who preceded her in death on June 14, 1977. She was also preceded in death by brother, Chester Cramm & sister, Helen Rutledge. |
