Rice, Jack M. | 12-17-1916 | 10-16-2005 | b. Greensburg ks Kiowa co, d. Garden City ks Finney co, S/O Marshall Herbert and Alberta Hunt Rice. He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1934. He then graduated from Wichita Business College and was an accountant in Wichita. A resident of Garden City, formerly of Lakin, he also was a farmer and cattleman. He belonged to the Lakin Rotary Club, serving as president in 1955; Lakin Presbyterian Church; and Garden City Presbyterian Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II as a drill sergeant in Florida and Hawaii. On April 16, 1950, he married Ruth Campbell in Lakin. She died Aug. 5, 2000. He was preceded in death by a son, Clark H. Rice; three brothers, Virgil, Donald and Phillip Rice; and a sister, Lois Miller. |

Singers, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Lakin First Presbyterian Church and the
Homemakers Unit. She was a beauty operator and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a son, Kreth; a brother, Ivan Duvall; three sisters, Georgia Wray, Jean Henley and Billie Urie Hoss; and a grandson. |
