Kansas Transcription Submission Instructions | |
#1: | Contact the KS Tombstone Transcription Project Manager listed below to contribute photos and transcriptions even if you plan on using the GenRecords auto-upload forms so the Project Manager can give you assistance and will know that your transcription is in progress. |
#2: | Transcriptions without photos can be submitted by using the GenRecords auto-upload submission form of the KS Archives. Or you can contact the Project Manager directly to submit files. |
#3: | Tombstone photos can be submitted by using this link to the KS Archives GenRecords auto-upload submission form. Use of the KS GenRecords form will get your photos uploaded and linked faster. If you need assistance with the forms, please contact the Project Manager listed below. |
NOTES: | Photos cannot exceed 300kb (100kb or less is preferred) and will require special handling if larger, which will make the process of getting your photos uploaded and linked slower. If possible, please reduce the size of the photo and save for the web before submission. If you need help with this process, please contact the Project Manager listed below. The photo program you are using can make this a simple task in most cases. We cannot accept photos of living individuals and only one photo per tombstone will be accepted. |
Let's work together in this endeavor! This Project is about remembering our dead and preserving our history!! If you would like to transcribe data for this Project, or you have already done cemetery surveys and would like to share that work with the world, please let us hear from you. All Cemetery Surveys, Gravestone Inscriptions, Tombstone Photos and other files related to cemeteries are posted in the KSGenWeb Archives. It is not necessary to submit files to both the Tombstone Transcription Project and the KS Archives. Please
understand, I am unable to respond to queries about ancestors,
cemeteries, To submit a cemetery, please visit the forms at
