She was a member of United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Fowler United Methodist Women, Rebekah Lodge and Noble Grand Lodge, all of Fowler. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Wesley, Ray and Elvis Ford; and two sisters, Fern Wolfe and Helen Cope. |

A longtime Meade County resident, she was a farmer's wife, homemaker, and had worked for the Fowler Nursing Home. She belonged to Wesleyan Church, attended the Fowler Friends Church, Fowler, served as a Sunday school superintendent for many years and was a member of the Progressive EHU, having served as a past president and holding various other offices. On July 2, 1934, she married Fred B. McDowell in Pratt. He died March 11, 1981. |
