Ricketts, Richard James 5-31-1931 7-14-2005 b. Concordia ks Cloud co, d. Clay Center Ks Butler co, Dick died peacefully at home. He was the oldest son of the late Homer Frank and Lora Esther Townsdin Ricketts. He married Dorothy Laverne Parmentier on Jan. 24, 1960. They celebrated their 45th anniversary this year with a cruise last November to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. From this union they had 3 daughters, 4 granddaughters and 4 grandsons. From a previous marriage he had 2 daughters of Clay Center; from these 2 daughters he has 1 grandson and 3 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister, and many nieces and nephews. Richard started driving a truck at 18 for a living and for the love of it. He always said that the diesel was in the blood. He was still driving his truck until January 2005 for his dear friend, Jim Lippert. His lifelong driving record was impeccable throughout his 55 years.
