Sherman Cemetery

Low Gap Community, Johnson County, Arkansas

"Gone But Not Forgotten"

Submitted March 21, 2003, by Rosa Cline

Updated November 22, 2003

Starting on Highway 103 drive until the juntion changes from highway 103 to

215 you will then drive 5.9 miles and then you will TURN A VERY SHARP left

onto CR 4490, follow CR 4490 2.7 miles and the cemetery will be on the left.

located in the Low Gap community near Oark.  (The milage is 9.5 miles from

Sherman cemetery to Oark)

This is a partial listing of people interred at this cemetery.

I have obits for some of them, if anyone would like a copy.

Sometimes there are pictures of the people with the obit.

If you don’t find the information on this transcription,

go to the Find-A-Grave transcription. There may be more information there.

I am trying to update this list about every other month.

I will put a * beside those that have been added since the last update.

NOTE: Many of these obits are incomplete.

If you know full names, dates of birth, parents’ names, and/or cause of death,

I would like to have this information to make these

transcriptions as complete as possible thanks.

PLEASE NOTE: My husband and I have completely transcribed this cemetery, however I'm still in the process of typing all the names up. (We have headstone pictures of all the stones.) So below is only a partial listing of the cemetery, but the full listing is "a work in progress".  Also on most of these obits they don't have a birthday or a place of birth... some don't have full names or full names of parents so if anyone has any more information about these people I would like to have it to complete the transcription... also cause of death when known... Thanks
