HOW TO SURVEY, TRANSCRIBE AND SUBMIT A CEMETERY TRANSCRIPTION:

First, read the Instructions for Surveying a Cemetery and Submitting it to th Alabama Tombstone Project

After you have read the instructions above, please register the cemetery you wish to survey so we do not have two or more people surveying the same cemetery. To retister a cemetery, please send an email to:

Give your name, email address, the cemetery name, the community and the county in which the cemetery is located.. Please state in the subject line of the email "Cemetery Registration: County" replacing "County" with the actual county you are working in.

TO SUBMIT A CEMETERY TRANSCRIPTION:

To submit a completed cemetery survey:

or send your cemetery transcription in .txt format (TEXT ONLY) to:

Debra Crosby for Chambers County, Clay, Cherokee, Coffee, Pike and Tallapoosa Counties

Carolyn Golowka for all other counties.
